My latest piece designed for St Mary’s de Haura in Shoreham (showing from Saturday 2 – Sunday 17 June) is on their theme, Celebration.

Celebration made me think of the busy year that 2012 has become with the Jubilee and the Olympics and that people would be having fun at celebrations such as these. I knew I wanted the background to be all blue and to stand for sky/air, water and as I love Contemporary Ballet the figures dancing in air or water show how the body in motion can express joy – and we really ought to have something representing movement from the Olympics, hence the diver.

I’ll be at the art fair on Saturday 2 June at the Unitarian Church, Brighton for the first time sharing a stall with Tina who makes jewellery – this event is organised by the Makers Boutique.

You can see my latest work on the Adur Art Trail 2012: June 2 – 17. I’ll be exhibiting at Star Gap (21 High Street, Shoreham by Sea, BN43 5DD) where you can also get a refreshing cuppa and lovely cakes.
